I work with teens and adults who have experienced intimate partner violence, compounding trauma such as abuse, and present with a range of concerns, including BPD, anxiety disorders, depression, and self-injurious behaviours. Many have spent years managing symptoms without understanding their roots in trauma.
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. My foundation in this work began during my undergrad, conducting research in the Sexually Harmful Behaviour Lab, which was published in the Journal of Law and Human Behaviour. I completed my practicum at Family Services Ottawa, providing therapy to clients navigating complex trauma, PTSD, and a range of mental health concerns. I have facilitated group therapy and workshops for mothers navigating post-separation abuse and the effects of intimate partner violence. In my practice, I draw on DBT, CBT, and IFS, tailoring my approach to each client. I truly believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, valuing you as the expert of your own life.
