Anick Labonté is a bilingual (English and French) Registered Psychotherapist (RP) who works with teens and adults who often appear composed on the outside while feeling overwhelmed inside. Many of the people she works with are navigating anxiety, chronic stress, or the effects of past trauma, which can show up as tension, low mood, irritability, difficulty concentrating, or waves of strong emotion.
Her approach is calm and steady. She slows things down, helps you make sense of what you're feeling, and supports you in feeling more settled. She keeps your goals at the centre of the work and tailors her approach to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based approaches, person-centred therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
Anick aims to create a space where clients feel understood rather than judged, and she communicates in plain, everyday language rather than clinical jargon.
Awareness is the first step toward change — you can't shift what you don't notice.
