These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Auren Wellness website at www.aurenwellness.ca (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Auren Wellness Inc. ("Auren Wellness," "we," "us," or "our"), an Ontario corporation providing psychotherapy and social work services in Ottawa and across Ontario.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Site.
The Site provides general information about Auren Wellness and the services we offer. The information on the Site is for informational purposes only and does not constitute psychotherapy, social work, medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice.
Use of the Site does not create a therapist-client relationship between you and any therapist associated with Auren Wellness. A therapist-client relationship is established only after intake, informed consent, and the commencement of services in accordance with our intake process.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in crisis, do not rely on the Site. Call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or contact the Talk Suicide Canada line at 1-833-456-4566 or 9-8-8.
You may use the Site if you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence (18 or 19 in Canada, depending on jurisdiction), or if you are a parent or legal guardian using the Site on behalf of a minor for the purpose of arranging services. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Services provided by Auren Wellness are subject to separate intake, eligibility, and consent processes described at the time of intake.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of, the Site by any other person. You agree not to:
The Site includes intake and contact forms that allow you to submit information to Auren Wellness. Information submitted through these forms is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate and that you are authorized to submit it. Do not submit information about another person without their knowledge and consent, except where you are a parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a minor.
Please do not include sensitive personal health information beyond what the form requests. The intake process and your initial appointment are the appropriate places to share clinical detail.
The Site, including its design, text, graphics, photographs, logos, and the selection and arrangement thereof, is owned by Auren Wellness or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download, and print pages of the Site for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you do not modify the content and that you retain all copyright and proprietary notices. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, or display of any content on the Site, is prohibited without our prior written consent.
"Auren Wellness" and the Auren Wellness logo are trademarks of Auren Wellness Inc. All other trademarks displayed on the Site are the property of their respective owners.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Auren Wellness. We provide these links for convenience only and do not endorse the content, products, services, or practices of any third party.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of use of any third-party website or service. Your use of any third-party website or service is at your own risk and is subject to that third party's terms and policies.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auren Wellness disclaims all representations and warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and availability.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any information on the Site is accurate, complete, current, or reliable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auren Wellness, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Auren Wellness and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms or your use of the Site in violation of applicable law.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Reviewed" date.
Your continued use of the Site after revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Site.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
