Aelea Syed is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) who works with adults navigating burnout, life transitions, and questions of identity and self-worth. Many of the people she sees appear to be managing well on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves underneath. Together, they make space to understand what is happening and to reconnect with a clearer sense of who they are. Her approach is warm and collaborative. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University and draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based and emotion-focused work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and somatic experiencing. She often works with people carrying the weight of family, cultural, or relational expectations, including BIPOC, newcomer, and racialized communities exploring culture, identity, and belonging. Aelea aims to create a space where clients feel understood rather than judged, and she communicates in plain, everyday language rather than clinical jargon.
