The consult is free. If you go ahead, session fees start at $175, depending on which therapist you see. The PSHCP reimburses 80% of eligible fees, so your share is typically $35 to $45. How the billing works

Per person, not per household

You have your own annual maximum. So does your partner, and so does each dependent child. A family of four isn't sharing one pool, and using one person's coverage doesn't reduce anyone else's. Each maximum is $5,000 in eligible fees a year, reimbursed at 80%, and it is shared across psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists and counsellors, so anything already claimed this year counts against it. Who counts as a dependent follows PSHCP rules, including age and student limits for children, and you can confirm yours with Canada Life.
