Auren Wellness is a psychotherapy clinic at 1 Centrepointe Dr, Suite 404, Ottawa. Every therapist is registered with the CRPO, the OCSWSSW or the College of Nurses of Ontario, and can be looked up on the relevant public register.

Your plan lists this as the Psychological Services benefit. Psychotherapy from both Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers is covered under it, and the limit is combined across those providers. Canada Life applies reasonable-and-customary limits, so what you get back depends on your plan and how much room you have left this year. You can check your balance with Canada Life. We bill Canada Life directly wherever possible. Where we can't, we give you what you need to submit the claim yourself.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you book

Do I need a referral to use my PSHCP coverage?

No. The PSHCP requires no referral for psychological services, which covers psychotherapy from both Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers. You can book directly with us today.

How much will a session cost me?

Session fees start at $175, depending on which therapist you see. The PSHCP reimburses 80% of eligible fees, so your share is typically $35 to $45, up to $5,000 in eligible expenses per person each calendar year.

How does direct billing work?

Wherever possible we bill Canada Life directly for their 80%, and you pay your share at the session. Direct billing runs through Telus Health, which does not register the Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) category, so for those sessions you pay at the time and claim it back. We give you everything you need for the claim. Canada Life decides what it reimburses, so if you want to be certain before you book, check this category with them first.

I can't find psychotherapy in my Canada Life account. Am I covered?

Your plan lists the benefit as Psychological Services. Psychotherapy is covered under it.

Can I meet in-person or online?

Both. We offer in-person sessions at 1 Centrepointe Dr, Suite 404 in Ottawa, and secure virtual sessions anywhere in Ontario.

Is the 15-minute consultation really free?

Yes, and there's no obligation. It's a short conversation to see whether the therapist is a fit before you book anything.
